in total points (51). Palmer recorded 2.14 points per game in
seven postseason matches and scored the game-winning goal in the

Second Team and the All-Gulf South Conference First Team. Palmer
played a role in every goal during the Argos' 13-game winning
streak to finish the season. WPSL Head Coach Tyler Powell said,
"We are all so happy and proud of Chelsea. She is an excellent
leader and role model to those around her. She has 3 National
Championships from 3 different schools. That doesn't happen by
accident. She is just able to make people around her better."

Barton Holdridge and
Tony Cuccarese, both members of the Nolan Catholic High School Men’s
Soccer Squad, played key roles in defeating John Paul II, 3-1, to
win the TAPPS Division 1-5A State Championship Soccer match. The
Nolan Vikings (17-2-2) claimed their second straight title and ninth
overall for the school when they faced Plano John Paul II (13-1-4).
Both Tony and Barton are also members of the U-17 American Eagles,
under the coaching leadership of David Hoffmann.
Tony, as team Captain and playing the defender position, was
instrumental in locking down the back field while Barton played a
key role in controlling most of the play in midfield opening the
opportunity for the winning goals.
The Men's Squad has
found its way into the FAB 50 Ranking
Congratulations to
both Barton & Tony for their back to back state championships! |

Colton
Huie, a Junior at Richland High School and a member of the
U-17 American Eagles, was named “Defensive Player of the Year
for District 6-5A” for his outstanding year on the Richland
Rebels Varsity Squad. The Richland Rebels ended the season
with an amazing 25-2-1 record. Their second loss coming only
in the Regional Quarterfinals. Colton led the Richland Rebel
Defense who gave up only 12 goals the entire season. In
addition to receiving Defensive Player of the Year, he was
awarded 1st Team All-District and 1st
Team All Academic.
This award is
particularly prestigious because it is based on the
recommendation from all coaches in the district who discuss
players who stood out amongst the rest. Coach Snow of the
Richland Rebels stated that every coach in the District listed
Colton as their only choice for Defensive Player of the
Year. They were impressed with his calm presence, his
natural ability to shut down scoring chances and his precision
passing/dribbling skills.
Congratulations Colton!
